Hi, I am Janice Joyner, the Director of Sunshine Daycare Center. I have been in the field of Early Childhood for over 45 years. I hold a Masters Degree in Education and a CT Head Teacher Certificate. I have 22 years of classroom experience and 23 years of supervisory experience. I have held supervisory roles as a Head Teacher, Education Manager, Center Director and Program Director. I began my classroom experience as a Head Teacher with the Norwalk Board of Education. I have successfully led programs through NAEYC Accreditation. I have dedicated my entire life to early childcare and education. My extensive educational preparation and practical experience in Early Childhood Education has allowed me to become the loving, caring and nurturing teacher as well as mentor/coach and support system to teachers. I am highly committed to to my profession because I know the need exists for all children to have a healthy, conducive learning environment and positive guidance for their first learning experience.

My philosophy: I believe in the competencies of all children, and that each child has a natural desire to learn and make meaning of their world.
